De-stressing Life

Interactive Journal & Life Logging App 

This project began as a life logging exercise to gain awareness of my own everyday surroundings and better understand my own actions. I realized that I was using many methods to de-stress throughout my day. I then took the information realized from that portion and transformed it into an interactive journal and mobile app. The objective is that others may, in turn, discover ways in which they are de-stressing throughout their day. I also paired up the de-stressing activity with chemicals the human body releases when engaging in these activities, such as a release of dopamine when listening to music or oxytocin when we hug someone. I am interested in science and logic, so pairing our actions with the biological response allowed me to further identify and uncover the reasoning behind my actions, which can also help other do the same.
